Story
On 7 December I'll be strutting to set a new WORLD RECORD for the largest swimwear parade. We need 1,087 strutters to bring the world record home to Oz!
If that seems like a lot of people, it is... So it's pretty amazing when you think that the same number of Indigenous kids across Australia are stepping up to lead us to a brighter dawn. Walking these kids is over 1,000 university students, who believe in a day when no Aussie kid gets left behind.
I'm strutting to raise funds for AIME (Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience), the charity that connects these kids and uni students across NSW, QLD and VIC. AIME has proven to dramatically increase the chances of Indigenous kids finishing school: last year, the year 9 to 12 completion rate for AIME kids was double the national Indigenous average.
If we raise $200,000 AIME will be able to grow its Program to South Australia and Western Australia in 2013.
I'm strutting to show the world that we are willing to do whatever it takes, to go to any lengths, to see the day when Indigenous kids finish school at the same rate as every Australian child.

AIME - Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience
AIME works around Australia providing mentoring and educational services.
AIME engages over 2,000 Indigenous high school students and 1,000 university students across Australia. Our workforce is over 1000 volunteer university students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Our goal is for all of our students to complete school and progress to university at the same rate as all Australians. For students not progressing to university we target 100% transition to further study or employment. In 2013 AIME engaged over 2,000 Indigenous high school students and 1,000 university students across Australia and our goal is to reach 10,000 by 2018.
AIME has proven to dramatically improve the chances of Indigenous kids finishing school. Our current group of year 11 students progressed from year 10 to year 11 at a higher rate than their non-Indigenous peers! Together with our Mentors and Mentees, AIME is building a generation of future leaders who strive to create a culture where for every step you take forward in life, you throw your hand back and bring someone with you.
